Babi is without a doubt one of the most popular characters among “Yumi’s Cells” fans. Yumi’s romance with Babi took up the majority of the story in the original webtoon, compared to her other boyfriends. According to the author, Lee Dong-Gun, he did not intend to make Babi a major character, but readers liked him so much that he expanded Babi’s story.
Many “Yumi’s Cells” fans thought Babi was the ideal boyfriend for Yumi and wished he could be with her at the end. Unfortunately, that never happened in the webtoon series, but he and Yumi both seemed to eventually find other good partners. In the original story, how did Babi and Yumi’s relationship end?
Yumi and Babi first met while working for the same company. Yumi then quits her job to become a writer, and Babi decides to open a Korean snack bar. Babi’s relationship with Yumi changes when he hires a part-time worker for his snack bar.
Da-Eun, a part-time employee at Babi’s snack bar, has a crush on Babi and tells him about it. Yumi notices this and asks Babi if he ever had feelings for Da-Eun. Babi couldn’t answer that question, just as he couldn’t in the drama “Yumi’s Cells 2.” “Babi, let’s break up,” Yumi says directly.
Babi does not want to end their relationship, but Yumi is adamant.
Did they ever get together again? They did. When Babi sees Yumi again, he says, “I’ve been missing you.”
Yumi dates Babi again, but she isn’t as happy with him as she used to be. Yumi tries to find excitement in her dating life with Babi again by watching her friend Ruby date Control Z. However, she realizes she no longer loves Babi and rejects him when he proposes to her.
After a long time has passed, Yumi recalls her relationship with her ex-boyfriend, Babi. “I shouldn’t have met him from the start,” she says. “But, I had lots of happy memories, so even if I could change the past, I wouldn’t do it,” she adds.
