On June 8th, YLab announced that the webtoon “Super String” will be released globally in 2023. The webtoon “Super String” depicts the lives of young people who are fighting to protect their families in a world where heroes of various levels are at war.
The webtoon “Super String” will be a collaboration between two well-known Korean and Japanese comic writers. Yoon In-Wan, the creator of Super String Universe and popular webtoons such as “Blade of the Phantom Master” and “Island,” will pen the script. Boichi, best known for the best-selling manga “Dr. Stone,” which has sold over 13 million copies, will do the illustrations.
“Super String Universe” was released in 2015, combining 16 popular Y-Lab webtoons into a single worldview, including “Island” and “REAWAKENED MAN,” which are being adapted into dramas. In the upcoming webtoon “Super String,” characters from different works are finally brought together to tell a new story.
“The webtoon ‘SuperString’ aims to entertain many webtoon fans around the world, so fans who have not seen the worldview of the ‘SuperString’ can enjoy the originality of the work,” writer Yoon In-wan said.
“Webtoons are now playing a big role in the global market, and I think they are content that conveys happiness,” said author Boichi, adding, “We will publish them with the dream of contributing to the growth of the global webtoon market, so please trust and watch us.”
In 2023, the webtoon “Super String” will be released on a global platform, beginning in Korea and Japan.
