Start-Up Webtoon Synopsis
The story begins with the main character, Go Taek-Il, dropping out of middle school and spending his days bullying and stealing money from children in his town with his friend Woo Sang-Pil.
While he bullies others outside the home, he is the polar opposite at home. When he returns home, his mother, a former volleyball player, slaps him. “When are you going to study for the qualification exam?” his mother chastises him.
Go Taek-Il decides to flee his home after being beaten by his mother every day. He tells his friend Woo Sang-Pil not to look for him for some time.
Having no specific destination in mind, Go Taek-Il asks the bus terminal cashier to give him a ticket to any destination that costs under $10.
The cashier informs him that a ten-dollar ticket can take him to a variety of locations. She then introduces him to her hometown of Wonju and hands him a ticket. Go Taek-il boards a bus bound for Wonju.
When Go Taek-Il arrives in Wonju, he is beaten by a girl with red hair (So Kyung-Joo) at the bus terminal, and his life takes unexpected twists and turns.
He becomes tired and hungry, and he comes across a Chinese restaurant. A sign in front of the Chinese restaurant advertises the need for a part-time delivery person. They also provide lodging and meals.
Go Taek-Il walks in and is hired as a delivery driver at a Chinese restaurant. He goes into the kitchen to say hello to the chef and encounters a large man (Geo-Seok) with an unusual appearance.
As he usually does to others, Go Taek-il talks rudely to the person. The next moment, he gets slapped and faints in the corner of the kitchen.
In need of a place to sleep, Go Taek-il has no choice but to work as a deliveryman at a Chinese restaurant on a continuous basis. His special days begin there.
