Nam Joo-Hyuk, who rose to prominence with his recent drama “Twenty-Five Twenty-One,” was offered the role of a dark hero in the drama “Vigilante.”
“Vigilante” is based on Kim Kyu-Sam’s webtoon of the same name. It tells the story of Ji-Yong, who is a regular student at a police academy on weekdays and goes to punish criminals on weekends. Because of his efforts to assassinate the murderers, he has earned the nickname “Vigilante.”
Nam Joo-Hyuk is being considered for the role of Ji-Yong. In the original webtoon, his mother was murdered by street gangs, and he took revenge on them. He was ecstatic after beating those thugs, and he resolved to seek justice in his own unique way. When he goes to the police academy, he learns all of the martial arts that are used to punish criminals.
Nam Joo-Hyuk’s recent drama “Twenty-Five Twenty-One” depicted a heartbreaking love story. During its run, the drama was ranked first in TV Cast Popularity for 7 weeks in a row. Nam Joo-Hyuk may play a completely different role in the new drama “Vigilante,” which requires a lot of rage and action scenes.
As of April 2022, “Vigilante” is still being talked about when it comes to production and when it will be released.
