On May 12th, an entertainment industry official announced that Lee Joon-Hyuk will appear in the upcoming drama “Vigilante.” Cho Kang-Ok, played by Lee Joon-Hyuk, is a vice-chairman of DK Group and a supporter of the protagonist, Ji-Yong.
The drama “Vigilante” is based on Kim Kyu-Sam’s webtoon of the same name. It tells the story of Ji-Yong, a police student who goes on weekends to look for criminals. He is given the nickname “Vigilante” because he punishes crimes without the use of legal force. Nam Joo-Hyuk was offered the role of Ji-Yong.
Lee Joon-Hyuk’s character in the drama, Cho Kang-Ok, is a strong supporter of Ji-Yong. He aspired to be a true hero after watching “Batman” as a child. He creates the Vigilante program and helps the protagonist by using his power as vice-chairman of a big company.
In recent years, Lee Joon-Hyuk has appeared in a number of dramas and films, including “Designated Survivor: 60 Days,” “Stranger,” and the “Along with Gods” series. He also made a cameo appearance in “Our Beloved Summer” and made an impression on the audience.
Lee Joon-Hyuk will appear in both movies and dramas in the coming years, having been cast as the antagonist in the third installment of the popular gang film “The Outlaws,” as well as the main character in “Vigilante.” The full cast of “Vigilante” and the release date are still being worked out.
