In the upcoming Netflix drama, “The Sound of Magic,” Ji Chang-Wook plays a mysterious and charming magician. The drama is based on the webtoon Annarasumanara and is set to be released in May 6th, 2022. Kim Sung-Yoon, the director of another webtoon-based drama, Itaewon Class, is returning to direct the new drama, “The Sound of Magic.”
At an abandoned neighborhood amusement park, Lee-Eul (played by Ji Chang-Wook) performs magic on the neighborhood kids. People think he is a strange person because he frequently asks passersby, “Do You Believe In Magic?”
Choi Sung-Eun (Beyond Evil) plays Yoon A-Yi, the female protagonist in “The Sound of Magic.” Yoon A-Yi supports herself and her sister by working part-time. She wishes to leave her current difficult environment as soon as possible and become a normal adult. Yoon A-Yi is temporarily able to escape reality thanks to Lee-Eul’s magic trick.
Hwang In-Youp (True Beauty) plays Na Il-Dong, who is Yoon A-Yi’s close friend. Na Il-Dong is the son of a wealthy family, and he consistently earns first place in school. At first, he has a competitive spirit with Yoon A-Yi, but gradually grows to like her.
