Kim Tae-Ri of “Twenty-Five Twenty-One” won the Best Actress award in the TV category at the 2022 Baeksang Arts Awards. Kim Tae-Ri was also voted Most Popular Actress by the drama audience.
In her acceptance speech, Kim Tae-Ri mentioned Hui-Do, the character she portrayed in the drama “Twenty-Five Twenty-One.” She said, “I recently discovered a diary I kept in my twenties. I gained a lot from playing Hui-Do. I learned a lot, and I was so grateful that the role of wonderful kid Hui-Do was given to me.”
Kim Tae-Ri continued, “To be honest, I can’t say I was happy, but I was grateful.” I’m overjoyed right now and want to thank everyone. I will continue to work hard in order to become a good actor.“
In an interview, Kim Tae-Ri stated that she was thrilled when she first received the script for “Twenty-Five Twenty-One.” She trained in fencing for nearly half a year to play the role of fencer Na Hui-do in the drama. She also picked up the speech tones of teenagers from the podcasts because she wanted to play a high school student well.
