In the eighth episode of “Alchemy of Souls,” Jang Uk battles crown prince Go Won and defeats him using the skill he learned from Mu-Deok. He is given the option of joining any organization in Daeho, which is surprising given that no one wanted to accept him previously. Mu-Deok suggests he join Songrim, and Jang Uk agrees.
But, since Jang Uk joined Songrim, Mu-Deok doesn’t have a chance to meet him. How will Mu-Deok go to see him again?
Mu-Deok’s first attempt is to ask people in Songrim to let her in. She begs them, saying she needs to see her young master, Jang Uk, but they refuse to let her in. Mu-Deok is waiting at Songrim’s entrance in the pouring rain, but she never gets a chance. Jang Uk’s best friend, Seo Yul, hands her an umbrella and tells her, “Go home and wait.”
When Mu-Deok learns that Jang Uk has snuck out of Songrim and is on his way home, she rushes to meet him. Mu-Deok finally sees him, but only from afar because Jang Uk is on the boat and on his way somewhere. “Wait there, I’ll come to you,” Mu-Deok tells him.
Songrim is holding a competition to hire new servants, and Mu-Deok is eager to participate to go meet Jang Uk.
Being a servant in Songrim appears to require a number of qualifications. They must pass the written exam, the cooking exam, and the running exam. Mu-Deok may be good at sports because she was the shadow assassin Nak-Su before the alchemy of souls. But what about the written test?
Fortunately, Jang-Uk’s best friends, Dang-Gu and Seo Yul, obtain an exam paper ahead of time and are helping Mu-Deok. For some reason, Go Won, the crown prince, also gets the same exam paper, and he may also help Mu-Deok.
Meanwhile, Jang-Uk appears to miss Mu-Deok a lot. He says he’ll do anything to see her. As they reunite in a new place, Songrim, the exciting new journey will begin in the upcoming episodes of “Alchemy of Souls.”
