On the last day of February, Netflix released the first episode of “Business Proposal.” Because the drama was adapted from the webtoon “The Office Blind Date,” fans of the webtoon were eager to see how the webtoon’s original characters were depicted in the drama version.
Although minor changes were made during the adaptation, the characters and main flow of the story were well delivered in “Business Proposal.”
Kang Tae-moo (starred by Ahn Hyo-Seop), a well-dressed, handsome guy, appeared in the airport, looking like he had just stepped out of a cartoon. He had been appointed as the new CEO of his grandfather’s company, and everyone in the company was looking forward to seeing him at his inauguration. He didn’t show up at the inauguration because he was only interested in doing practical work.
Shin Ha-ri (starred by Kim Sejeong) is a girl who gets along well with those around her. When she attended a blind date instead of her friend Jin Young-seo, she acted in a way that any man would dislike because she intended to be dumped as soon as possible. Despite the fact that she was cold, she removed her jacket. “My body runs a little hot, you see,” she said to Kang Tae-moo.
But Kang Tae-moo was no ordinary person. While Shin Ha-ri was trying to get dumped, he was busy checking his cellphone for work. During the date, Shin Ha-ri even introduces her breasts to Kang Tae-moon as “Samantha and Rachel.”
“The one on the left is Samantha, and the one on the right is Rachel.”
She told Kang Tae-moo that she spent a whopping ten million won on each of her “babies.”
Shin Ha-ri thought she did an excellent job of portraying all of the personalities that men would despise. After the date, she celebrated the completion of her mission with her friend Jin Young-seo, who asked her to be on the blind date.
Kang Tae-moo, on the other hand, had a different idea. “I will marry a person I met today on a blind date,” he told his grandfather, the chairman of the corporation.
