Shoot!, a classic soccer manga produced by Tsukasa Oshima that has sold over 50 million copies, returns in 2022 with a brand-new original anime. Shoot! was serialized in Weekly Shonen Magazine from 1990 to 2003, and it was adapted into an anime in 1993, winning the 1994 Kodansha Manga Award in the shonen category. In 2022, the anime will return with a new title, “Shoot! Goal to the Future,” created by EMT Squared.
Shoot! Original Manga Synopsis
A boy named Toshihiko Tanaka began attending Kakegawa High School in order to play association football with his hero, Yoshiharu Kubo. Toshihiko’s buddies are unwilling to play football until he persuades them to join the team. The team will shortly compete in the All-Japan High School Championship.
