The candidates for the 67th Shogakukan Manga Award have been published on the official website of the Japanese comic magazine Shogakukan Comic. Three manga, including Hajime Komoto‘s Mashle: Magic and Muscles, have been nominated for the Shōnen category this year. On January 18, 2022, the final judging committee will select the award-winning manga.
The three nominees for Shōnen category are:

Mashle: Magic and Muscles by Hajime Komoto
Last year’s Shōnen category winners at the 66th Shogakukan Manga Award were Tatsuki Fujimoto’s “Chainsaw Man” and Shouichirou Yamamoto’s “Teasing Master Takagi-san (Karakai Jzu no Takagi-san).
67th Shogakukan Manga Award
The Shogakukan Manga Award is one of Japan’s most prestigious manga awards, given out yearly since 1955 for serialized manga. There are a total of 13 candidates for the 67th Shogakukan Manga Award, including two manga in the children’s category, three in the Shōnen category, four in the Shōjo category, and four in the general category.
