Previously, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train, which was released in October 2020, was the biggest hit of the anime on its first day. On its first day of release, the anime grossed over 1.2 billion yen. While Jujutsu Kaisen 0 came in second place with 1.05 billion yen, My Hero Academia: World Heroes’ Mission came in third place. The My Hero Academia anime was released on August 6, 2021, and earned over 320 million yen on its first day of release in Japan.
The international release date for Jujutsu Kaisen 0 has yet to be determined. Given that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Mugen Train was released in Japan in October 2020 and internationally in the first half of 2021, it’s safe to assume that Jujutsu Kaisen 0 will be released in the first half of 2022.
